Managing Spend and On-Demand Credits

Control how much you spend beyond your monthly credit allowance.

What are on-demand credits?

When your monthly included credits are used up, on-demand credits let you keep working instead of waiting for the next billing cycle. On-demand usage is billed at the end of the billing period via Stripe.

On-demand credits are not available on the Free plan.

Enabling on-demand credits

On-demand credits are off by default. To enable them:

  1. Go to Settings > Spending.

  2. Toggle On-demand credits to on.

  3. Set a monthly spend limit (optional but recommended).

  4. Click Save.

Setting a spend limit

A spend limit caps how much on-demand credit you can use in a single billing cycle. Once the limit is reached, AI operations pause until the next cycle.

  1. Go to Settings > Spending.

  2. Enter a maximum monthly spend amount.

  3. Click Save.

You can change or remove the limit at any time. Raising the limit immediately makes additional on-demand credits available.

What happens when you exceed on-demand budget?

If you hit your spend limit, AI operations pause β€” no additional charges are incurred. You can:

  • Raise the spend limit to continue immediately.

  • Wait for the next billing cycle to get a fresh monthly allocation.

  • Upgrade your plan for a larger monthly credit allowance and lower on-demand rates.

Monitoring your spending

  • Settings > Usage β€” See how many credits you've consumed this cycle, broken down by category (chat, collection, file processing).

  • Settings > Spending β€” View your on-demand spending and spend limit status.
